Becoming a Servant 4 God

The son of God came to earth to be a servant.

We need to admit to ourselves that God placed us here to serve others.

Jesus : Came to serve not to be served

Jesus said, follow me and I will make you fishers of men,. Some want to serve God but they fail to “follow” Jesus or to let him ‘make you’. If you are going to be an effective servant of God, you must submit to His process of making and molding you.

Then we need to be ready for God to change the direction of our lives. This happens though repentance.

Matthew 4:19

And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

We must accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. You must come to God though His son Jesus. You must receive His work on the cross. His death on the cross paid the penalty of our sins. His resurrection from the dead provides our eternal life

You should also obey the Lord’s command to be baptized in water. Most importantly, you should live all your day’s, loving and serving your God and others.

Let’s pray:

You may use this prayer or a similar prayer in your own words, committing your life to Jesus and asking him for forgiveness and His gift of eternal life because of the cross.
God I know that Jesus is your son and that He died on the cross for the forgiveness of my sins and was raised from the dead, so that I my have eternal life with thee. I ask Jesus to come into my heart. I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I want to follow Jesus and allow him to make me a true Servant of God. I give you my heart, soul and mind. In your son’s name Jesus Christ I pray this, Amen.

A servant is someone that serves others with out questions and with true love.
You should find a Bible believing church where people are excited about God. This will enable you to learn more about God, though prayer and studying the Bible.
Romans 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
